NewWay Church

Hi everyone, we are experimenting with video blogging and here is our first attempt. We are currently using a low quality camera, but I hope you enjoy this 50-second video. We will improve the image and sound quality of these videos…I promise.  Below there are some pics from today’s service. Enjoy.

Hi everyone, we are exciting about this coming Sunday’s worship service. Here are three reasons why you shuld visit us this Sunday:

1. NewWay Church is a new church. If you want to be part of a small and growing church, then NewWay is a church for you. My wife and I started having worship services in the middle of last year and we have been having a blast doing it. As a new church, we have the opportunity to provide exciting worship services in a small and friendly setting.

2. NewWay Church is easy to get to. We are currently having services at the Comfort Inn in Birch Run. It is conveniently located right off highway 75 from the Outlet Malls. There is plenty of parking and their Conference room is nice and comfortable.

3. The worship service is powerful. The worship service is full of music and multimedia. The style of worship is contemporary.

Our purpose is to provide a place of worship where you will have the opportunity to get in touch with God and learn something new from God’s word. Come join us this Sunday at 11am at the Comfort Inn in Birch Run.

Hi everyone, I am so excited to announce the new series of messages entitled ’source’ on the power of God in our lives. Here is the announcement from the Bulleting Board from the Herald paper:

“NewWay Church in Birch Run is announcing a new series of messages entitled “Source”, and is inviting all area residents to attend. The three week series, set to explore how to find a sustainable source of power to help keep you fully alive and re-energized in the midst of all of life’s demand, will begin Sunday, September 21 at 11a.m. and run until October 5. Free power drinks will be available.

Hi Everyone, I am so excited about this Sunday’s service. I can’t wait. We just finished our “One Prayer” series and it was great!

This Sunday we will focus on faith. Jesus had a lot to say about faith:

Mark 11  22“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23“I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Based on what Jesus said, there are three things that faith is…

1) faith is about having a relationship with God.  Faith is about having a powerful, meaningful friendship with God. Jesus said ‘have faith in God’.

2) faith is about having the sense of expectancy. Expectancy and faith go together. Expectancy is believing that what you are praying for will happen.

3) faith is about beeing decisive. Jesus said ’say to this mountain…’GO’. Sometimes we have to be decisive and get rid of the ‘mountains’ that stand on the way to a successful life in God.

Come visit us this Sunday to get more details about what faith is. Our services are full of music ( contemporary style ), multimedia and, of course, a powerful message from God’s word. The service usually takes 50 minutes. I am sure that you will have a good time and be inspired by God’s word.

If there was one thing you would pray for, what would that be? Would you pray for a new job, for a new promotion, for more financial blessings, for family unity…what would you pray for?

Sometimes, life situation determines what we should pray for. Three years ago, when my wife and I moved to Michigan, we had no jobs. So, my number one request was ‘God, give us new jobs.’  Very simple, right? Well, since there is nothing impossible for God, He blessed Sherri and I with great jobs!

There are so many things we could pray for, but this weekend, we want to pray for one single thing: ‘God, make us powerful.’ We want NewWay Church to be a powerful church so that we can be a blessing to people who come to worship.  Here is what Jesus said about the church:

Matthew 16 18And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. ^(NIV)

Wow, that blows my mind away! We can have a powerful church where not even the powers of hell can stop it! Wouldn’t you want to be part of a church like that?

Come to learn about prayer with us this Sunday at 11am at the Comfort Inn in Birch Run. The service takes an hour and it is filled with music, video, and multimedia.

Hi everyone, this coming Sunday, June 22nd, will be different at NewWay Church. We are hosting our first open house at 2pm. That means, our regular morning service at 11 am will be canceled for this Sunday only to have the open house in the afternoon.

If you are looking for a church to go to, this is a great opportunity to find out what NewWay Church is all about. In the open house you will learn about NewWay Church and will enjoy a mini-concert performed by the church band to give you a taste of what our church services look like. Refreshments will be served.

I am PUMPED UP about our service this coming Sunday. It is going to be great! We are in our brand new series of messages entitled ‘lines’ on how to unleash your potential in God. We are going back to the drawing board and we are re-sketching God’s image back into our lives by following his Word.
           
People have different views of God. In the message entitled ’sketches 2′,  we are going to see that God reveals to us as the Father and as the Almighty. We are also going to find out the most important thing that God want us to do.
